During the hot summer months Delia loves her frozen treats. We have had high temps in the upper 90's and a few 100 degree days, so cool treats were in order.
Her favorite is blueberries mixed with Pro Bloom Instant Goat's Milk from The Honest Kitchen. The Honest Kitchen Pro Bloom is a shelf-stable instant goat’s milk with digestive enzymes and probiotics. Delia's a big fan of the flavor and I'm a fan of the fact that it is human-grade and made in the USA, and naturally free of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones and antibiotics. Blueberries are tasty, low in fat, high in vitamin C and fiber, and contain healthy antioxidants and phytochemicals.
Here is our simple recipe for Frozen Blueberry Pro Bloom Instant Goat's Milk Treats:
Ingredients
1 Cup The Honest Kitchen Pro Bloom Instant Goat's Milk
16 Frozen Blueberries
Instructions
Mix Pro Bloom per package instructions
Chop 8 Blueberries in food processor/chopper
Mix chopped blueberries and Pro Bloom mixture
Poor into ice trays
Place 1 of the 8 remaining blueberries in each well in ice tray. (The trays I used had 8 wells each. You may want to modify the amount of berries to fit your trays.)
Freeze
Serve! The treats can be messy as they melt, so you may want to serve them on a plate.
We hope your dogs enjoy the treats! We would love to hear if you try them and if they like them!
